What is Meta's Opportunity?

Develop recruiting transformation solutions from strategy to execution at the intersection of people, process, & technology.

This is a critical job!

Hiring the the best people will dramatically effect the future and success of the company.

Why I'm the Best Fit.

Principles Aligned With Meta

Connection - I've been connecting people together since I was a kid. It gives me lots of joy to connect new friends with each other, and in the professional world, new business partners with each other.

Lifelong Learning - Move fast and break things without taking down the infrastructure as Mark Zuckerberg has said is rooted in being a lifelong learner that takes risks. I'm an expert risk management professional, so I know how to mitigate the risks I take while learning continuously.

Rapid Growth - I've been fortunate that as a consultant I've had to learn new concepts quickly because of the time constraints each project I've worked on has had.

Attitude Aligned With Meta

Teamwork - Collaboration is my middle name. Actually its Kumar like most Indian people. But I've been practicing collaboration for over 10 years. I've had to because being a consultant I had no other choice but to collaborate with various different groups, departments, and teams otherwise my projects wouldn't get done.

Communication - I love breaking down silos and letting the information flow in a lean and efficient way between different functions. I get weirdly happy when I accomplish that.

Work Ethic - I work smart and I work hard. I love doing both simultaneously to maintain an advantage. Having a lean mindset forces me to look at ways to work smart. Then practicing the art of putting in the time helps me produce better results more often.

Approach Aligned With Meta

Organized & Detailed - As a consultant that has had to work with an overwhelming amount of data, I've learned that data itself means nothing. You've got to be detail oriented to have the right data, then use that data to make decisions and execute actions that will drive the change you want.

Systematic -  With that in mind my approach is very simple. I identify the goal, collect the data, analyze the data, organize and prioritize the data, develop action plans and roadmaps, roll up my sleeves and work, review the work, and then finally improve upon my work.

My approach listed above is  similar to the famous quality concept, Plan Do Check Act. I like my acronym for it better though: ICAODRRI, it's more fun to say.

The Skills & Experience to Back it Up.

Lean Six Sigma

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Problem Solving & Preventive Actions

Value stream mapping, DMAIC, Design of Experiments, and various other tools have helped me time and time again in cutting costs, streamlining processes, and achieving process / operational excellence for my clients. As a consultant working for Lean QA I was living, eating, and breathing lean six sigma. Spoiler alert, it doesn't taste that great, but it sure helps in getting results. Over the years I added my own flare to lean six sigma. I developed a model called INOV8. Lean Six Sigma is all about problem solving. The model INOV8 that I came up with takes improvement one step forward by providing a guideline and tools to innovate and grow the business. I have gotten my lean six sigma green belt from Lockheed Martin. I'm currently working and studying for my lean six sigma black belt from ASQ. I've scheduled the test for June 2022. I wanted to throw this in here because I want you to know that I'm passionate about learning constantly.

Problem Solving & Preventive Actions

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Problem Solving & Preventive Actions

Why is getting to the root cause during problem solving important? Once you're at the root of the problem, putting in an action to fix that root will hopefully prevent the problem from happening again. Do you know how much money and time companies waste trying to fix the same problem over and over and over and over again? I don't have an actual number because companies are embarrassed to share that statistic. But it's a lot. A whole lot. This is why root cause corrective actions are so vital to problem solving. This is where the 8D (8 disciplines of problem solving), 5 why's, and fishbone analysis come into play. That should not be the end of the story though. It's not enough to just implement corrective actions. I've always guided my clients to become proactive by implementing preventive actions which has saved them millions of dollars... Not an exaggeration, I've calculated year after year savings from the preventive actions, and its way over a million dollars for just 1 client.

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Working as a Lean consultant the past 12 years has helped me develop a formula on building a culture of continuous improvement for companies. It starts off with having the team get early wins so they can start building momentum. Then training them on the concepts that helped them get those early wins. This helps them buy into the concepts way more than if they had learned the concept first and then started applying. In order to make continuous improvement stick, we need buy in. This strategy has helped win many people over, even the resistors to adopt a continuous improvement mindset. Once the mindset is in place, then few techniques like 8 wastes and error proofing become easy to implement leading to process excellence.

Leadership Development & Training

Recruiting Goals & Strategy Execution

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

At Key Skills Academy my focus was to help develop leaders. I saw a gap  in terms of the middle management and the lack of skills to help them succeed. Leadership development, coaching, and mentoring emerging managers and experienced managers was the best part of running Key Skills Academy as a Co Founder. I was able to provide emerging and experienced managers critical skill training such as effective communication, project management, time management, emotional intelligence, decision making, and more. I have a training presentation called the 6 types of leaders where I break down the different leadership styles and assess which style each person identifies with  the most. I myself identify as a data driven and servant leader.

Recruiting Goals & Strategy Execution

Recruiting Goals & Strategy Execution

Being a Co-Founder and Vice President in my previous roles at smaller companies, I've dealt a lot with recruiting. I've had to ensure the process was smooth so we could hire top talent. I used analytics and quality frameworks to understand what the company need was, so i could hire accordingly. I use to try and use the Moneyball (the movie) framework as well. Analyzing our metrics and then qualifying individuals based on their skills and what could help our metrics be successful. Over the years I started using my own framework which has parts of Moneyball and famous quality methodologies. The reason I bring this up is because I have experience with recruiting, I know the language, and I know the practices. I can easily transition and hit the ground running at Meta to help the recruiting and process excellence teams streamline and transform their processes quickly.

Strategic Relationship Building

Recruiting Goals & Strategy Execution

Recruiting Goals & Strategy Execution

Without strategic relationships, it's hard to get any job done. I learned that the hard way. I tried to do everything myself when a particular task was not moving that I had delegated. That task ended up not launching on time and was over budget, which I subsequently deemed a failure. From then onwards I made it a point to decode how to build successful relationships and increase collaboration. For the past 8 years I've been able to work with people to successfully accomplish 98% of all goals and targets set. I know it's not a 100%, but 8 years of goals and objectives is a lot. Also 98% is still an A+ so I'm good.

Tooting my Own Horn with these Qualifications.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified by Lockheed Martin

Working on my black belt from ASQ because I'm a life long learner and I want to practice a continuous improvement mindset by continuously improving myself.

Lead Auditor certified by International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG)

Being an auditor has boosted my analytical skills more than anything has. It's not the sexiest job function, but it is an important one to make sure accountability is in place, maturity assessments are completed, and improvement opportunities are uncovered.

12 Years of Quality Program Management Experience

For 12 years I've managed quality management systems, quality control programs, and quality assurance initiatives. I take inspiration from quality gurus Dr. Deming and Dr. Juran to be the best quality guy I can be.  Working with a wide range of industries has helped me hone my skills as a quality program manager. These skills include: effectively communicating with multiple teams, completing projects on time, crushing objectives, monitoring process health, and improving process flow to get better outcomes.

7 Years of Leadership Development & People Management Experience

Working within Lean QA, Key Skills Academy, and LG Machine I've gained experience developing leaders and getting the best out of people I work with. Part of the reason why I've been successful has been my passion to continuously learn and improve ways to manage a team. That passion translates into contagious energy that hypes everyone up. It's hard to explain the energy I bring over text. I hope to meet with you one day soon and show you my passion.

5 Years of Program Management & Recruiting Operations Experience

I've got 5 years of experience working in high pressure, fast paced scenarios that demanded timeliness. Recruiting and program management are not easy, but I've gotten use to the hard. I love that its helped me level up significantly.

Nice People Saying Kind Things.

David Murphy - Environmental, Health, Safety Manager, COMAV

The training Will provided taught me to look for the processes underlying the operation in order to understand how employees are affected when things change so that any improvement I bring will actually make their life easier and more likely to provide a better outcome rather than make changes just for change sake.

- Proof that he actually exists.

Amy Christensen - Operations & Quality Manager, Ansett Aircraft

I would like to thank Will for his continuous support. The training was well laid out. I've been able to use what I learned to successfully complete multiple projects that have helped optimize processes and ensured compliance.

- Proof that she actually exists.

Lowell Gwaltney - CEO, LG Machine

I have worked with Will for about 8 years. The experience exceeded our expectations. The professionalism and communication was outstanding.

Shawn Trikha - Co Founder, Key Skills Academy

The positivity and enthusiasm Will has for continuous improvement of people and processes is contagious. His training presentations are provided in a fun, visual, interactive, easy-to-understand and readily applicable manner. Will is fully supportive and always available to help each person and the company become their best.

- Proof that he actually exists.

- P.S. Full transparency: Shawn is my brother, but I asked him to provide an objective review as we worked together professionally for 7 years... I also may have bribed him with more quality time with his nephew...

Joe Faruqui - CEO, ASAP Semiconductor

I learned to see things a different way and to always start with positivity. I can now identify the true problem-or opportunity-and find the root cause and make the most impactful improvement. I see things much clearer now, thanks to Will.

- Proof that he actually exists.

Jimmy Wu - CEO, Infinity Air

Will was very professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, and inviting. His method of teaching and presenting makes concepts very easy to understand and apply to both your professional and personal life.

- Proof that he actually exists.

Iris Galanis Eshoo - Sr. Vice President, See's Candies

Will was an energizer bunny that would motivate and inspire our team to get excited about making lean and quality improvements to their processes. The first day he came in, he used post it sticky's and butcher paper to map out the current state of our processes. By the end of the day our conference room looked like a war room. Our people had a lot of breakthroughs with his quality methodology.

- Proof that she actually exists.
